Alexandra Maria Lara has been a German/Romanian television actress for a long time. Alexandra is known for the roles she played in Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. The only child of Romanian actress Valentin Platareu, Alexandra began her career in show business at an early age. By the time she was 16, Alexandra had landed prominent roles in a variety of television dramas. In the Oscar nominated film Downfall, her role as Adolf Hitler's Secretary Traudljunge was also highly praised. The Reader is another Oscar nominated movie featuring this actress. Alexandra was involved in many noteworthy projects, both in the United States as well as internationally. They include British biographical films Control and The Dust of Time as well as French historic miniseries Napoleon. In addition, she was a member of both The Cannes Film Festival jury and Transylvania International Film Festival.
