Matthew Matt James was conceived in North Carolina, on the 5th December 1991. Matthew Matt James is the mixed-race son of Manny James (of Jamaican descent) as well as Patty James. He has the Nigerian father and a Caucasian mom. When he graduated from Sanderson High School, in 2010, he attended Wake Forest University and obtained his Bachelor's in Economics. James was first noticed when he was a Reality star on The Bachelorette. In 2020, he was picked to be the season's 25th bachelor on The Bachelor, becoming the first African American lead. The season premiered in on the 20th of January in. James seemed to be the perfect choice for the role as he is handsome well-rounded tall and has a great sense of humor. The series concluded when he chose Rachael Krkconnell to start an affair with her. He teamed up with the famous dancing star Arnold in 2021 and competed on season 30 of Dancing with the Stars. James and Arnold were 12th in the show.
